Protect from direct light, that may make the color change quickly. Also protect from humidity, if it gets wet, do not use a dryer or direct heat, remove the water with a cloth and let it dry on its own. Once completely dry, a leather conditioner can be applied to restore its condition.
Nurture periodically to prevent cracking or drying, by applying conditioning creams with a dry cloth and in circular movements. Please bear in mind that these creams could darken the tonality somewhat.
Cover with the original WASACS recycled cotton cover when not in use, this will prevent staining and protect your item. In addition, filling with paper, newspaper, magazine or similar, will prevent it from becoming deformed. Also, do not put weight on it as it will end up losing its original shape.
Finally, please bear in mind that as our leather is vegetable-tanned, over time the surface will evolve: small imperfections, scratches or natural marks will appear. This is not a defect; it is normal and should be seen as a virtue of this type of leather. Like the skin of our face, our leather with its irregularities tells us its history, and each imperfection reminds us of the map of life.
